CAFOD is an international development charity and the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. They reach out to people living in poverty with practical help, whatever their religion or culture. Through their global Church network, one of the largest in the world, they have the potential to reach everyone and campaign for global justice, so that every woman, man and child can live a full and dignified life.
Thanks to your kind donations and support so far, we have been able to respond quickly through the Caritas network - which CAFOD is a member of - to provide shelter, food and safe spaces for families who have lost everything.
The humanitarian professionals and volunteers working on your behalf live locally and some are from the area.
If you would like to donate towards helping families less fortunate with food vouchers, then kindly label an envelope with "Food Vouchers" and post to the presbytery at St Joseph's, York Road, or place in the offertory basket.
